About us

Empowering Sweden’s Digital Future

We created this developer community portal with a clear mission: to support Swedish industry in becoming a global leader in advanced digital services. As digital transformation accelerates, we believe that Sweden has the talent, the ambition, and the responsibility to lead the way—through innovation, collaboration, and openness.

At the heart of our initiative is a state-of-the-art innovation infrastructure for connectivity and compute, centered on 5G Standalone (SA) and edge technologies. This platform, hosted by RISE and Telia/Ericsson NorthStar, is designed to lower the barriers for developers to build, test, and scale next-generation applications. Together with a strong network of advanced technology partners, we are enabling a new era of experimentation and co-creation.

Our vision is to become a natural meeting place for developers, researchers, and need owners from both the private and public sectors. Whether you're building real-time industrial automation, immersive XR experiences, or AI-driven services, this is your space to connect, collaborate, and create.

We are deeply committed to open source principles and to maintaining Swedish and European digital sovereignty. By building on open standards and fostering transparency, we aim to ensure that innovation remains inclusive, secure, and sustainable.

We have started the journey on four places across Sweden - but that is only the beginning. Join us in shaping the future of digital services, together.

Public funding

DTSE has been developed through a series of innovation projects, partially supported by public funding. In the ED5GE Developer Community project, partial funding was provided by the Swedish innovation agency Vinnova, Region Norrbotten, Region Uppsala, and Luleå Kommun. In the ED5GE project, partial funding was provided by the European Union’s CEF2 (Connecting Europe Facility) programme.

Partners

DTSE is supported by a diverse network of partners from both the public and private sectors. These partners play a vital role in shaping the community and enhancing the capabilities of both the infrastructure and the ecosystem as a whole. The partnership includes:

  • Technology providers offering platforms, tools, and software that enable experimentation, development, and innovation.
  • Need owners—such as municipalities, public agencies, and industry actors—who contribute real-world challenges and use cases from their digitalization journeys.

This collaborative model fosters a dynamic and responsive environment where innovation is driven by both technological advancement and practical needs.
